1999-2001 foglight manufacturing issue

I have spoken with Tim, and i will be able to work with acura-tl.com in getting you guys the custom foglights for the TL. I will be doing the manufacturing, he will be doing the selling. I do, however, need a little help. I want to make a foglight for the car that can fit well without cutting too much of the frame. For those that have installed foglights, how deep do you think i could go without actually hurting the chassis of the car (there are metal flaps that can be cut without harming the vehicle structure). Can someone please help me take a measurement of the maximum distance i can put the foglight in the hole? I have already made a clay structure of the foglight shape (the shape of the hole in the bumper). I will be sending it to the manufacturer soon. I, however, need to know the max depth i have for the fog lamp.

I am very optimistic on this project and hope that finally we can get foglights that will fit the bumper.

That's really good to hear that one day us deprived 99-01 owners may have fogs.........BTW would it be possible to convert these fogs into HIDs??

I cut out the plastic covers and put some mesh in where the fogs would go. There seemed to be plenty of room back there for lights when I was working on it, but you would have to take the front bumper cover off and measure it to be sure. Sorry I don't have any #'s, but you should easily be able to check.
