15K service question
I 'm going to do my 15K mile serivce soon. The manual says to change the tranny fluid at 30K but should i change it now? I'm haven't experinced any problems with my tranny (knock on wood) so i don't know if its worth changing or not. I'm assuming it wouldn't hurt to change right?
I have a 2002 Type S
Thanks for you input

Yup... I changed mine at 14K when I got my oil changed when they showed the fluid to me. It was pretty dark. Made a world of difference, although it feels as though it may be regressing again.
Speaking of scheduled services... do you guys believe in paying the dealer a rediculous amount of money to do seemingly unnecessary things? I think all you should have to do to a Honda (or any other well built automobile) is change the fluids at regular intervals, brakes as needed and the timing belt w/ the water pump as scheduled.
The 15K service is $150+... and for what? To get your oil changed, tires rotated and get a warm and fuzzy because they said they inspected your brakes and hoses? If you're brakes and hoses need inspecting at 15K miles then something is wrong! Give me a break! It's not like the car is going to run any better because they looked at it. They're not going to make any other adjustments unless you point something out... in which case you don't need to fork over the cash to do that.
