1156 Does Not Fit Rear Blinkers?

hi guys.. i tried changing the rear turn signals on my 2003 TL-S last night..i bought 1156 hyper whites from PIAA and took out the OEM orange ones only to find out that it doesn't fit in... the bulb is exactly alike, except the metal tab locks on the base of the bulb is placed at a different angle...

the PIAA hyper white 1156 has the pegs positioned at 180 degrees.. the OEM rear blinker has them positioned at about 160 degrees... i've never seen a bulb this size in my life! has anyone checked this out?

Yup, you need to file off one of the tabs.

Make sure you file off the one that is closer to the glass bulb.

Yep, he's serious. FWIW--it takes but seconds to cut off the tab, especially if you have a Dremel...

you don't have to cut.....you could force it in. It won't break. It will go in. It will not be lock in place, but it will not come loose either and it will work.
