1 yr and 20K miles in San Diego, CA Working on modifying the touch screen
Hi All,
I stumbled onto your site this evening and read most everything posted. I've learned allot about my car and just wanted to thank you all for your postings.
I'm glad that I didn't find the site immediately after purchasing my TL, otherwise all the talk about rotors and trannies would have made me a bit neurotic this last year. :oÞ
I'll say I've been lucky, my last car was a Ford Bronco that I drove for 17 years and over 250K miles. I'm driving much more these days and needed a vehicle that met my current needs. I've been maintaining my TL as I did my Ford with oil changes every 4000K and plan on flushing cooling system every summer and I'll change break fluid with transmission service.
I did put out the extra $$ for the TL's electrical and shop manuals. I'm currently fiddling with the DVD system in an attempt to bypass the vehicle's controls for my own. Would be nice to have that touch screen hooked up to a wireless network to receive real-time traffic info. I'm wondering what others have done in terms of modifing their touch screens?
Take care,
Greg
