04 TL Exhaust Tips on 02 TL

Well, this is my first post, but I've been exploring the forums for a bit. Im just wondering what you guys thought of putting the rectangular exhaust tips on the 02 TLs? Seems more of a "refined" look. Anyone done this and have pictures?

Wouldn't that look weird b/c the cutout shape is just a small half circle?

I think those tips are part of the exhaust system, welded on.

They would look horrible on a 2nd gen IMHO. The bumper on the 3rd gen is cut out for them, so that's why it looks so clean.

Put the CL-S tips on your car, they look more similar to the '04 TL tips and they will fit with a little work. I've seen them before, it looks pretty good.

Check this one out that Badabingman has done:

Points to Badabingman for this!

stocl 03 cl-s cat back , had to extend the tips out about 2 inches so it was even with the bumper. I obviously just wantes a cleaner look and didnt want the sound of a true exhaust. I hated the rounded screwed on stock tl it looked so cheap

Reminds me of the Chevelle SS396/454 exhaust pipes. I agree, looks nice.
