HI guys i have a 03 TLs ..heres what had happened! I got Stuck in Flood water (Not too bad) and i had to replace my starter and car ran fine for 2 weeks! i had just did mobile 1 oil change about 2 months ago more like 1300 miles ago!
Now yesterday My Maintaince REquired light came out!
Any idea what it can be or just do a oil change again?

that light is just a reminder, if you changed your oil or whoever changed your oil forgot to reset the reminder. it flashes when you go 5000 miles and then shuts off, it illuminates steady when you go 7500 miles without resetting it....

iirc, you put key in ignition, hold both trip/reset buttons, turn the key to the on position and the maint req'd light will flash a few times then disappear. correct me if i'm wrong.

ok but right after oil change light was gone for 1500 miles and it just shart showing up and its not flashing btw! its Solid! but i wil try to reset how u said and see what happens!

yeah, go ahead reset it, it is only a reminder and will not come on for any other reason.

Reset is normally for the reminder light that is flashing. I haven't seen a solid maint' req light ON before.

Because it was never reset when the oil was changed. That light is NOTHING more than a dummy light. It doent mean any thing is wrong and will ONLY tell you that you need to change your oil when its reset at every oil change. It is preset for 7500 mile oil change intervals(which is what the manufacturer recommends), not 3000. There is no way of changing it. Reset it and it will be gone for the next 7500 miles.
