Question 02 TL-S driver seat in an 03 TL-S

i searched a bit but couldnt find any real answers.

so i got hold of black front seats for my ebony conversion from an 02 TL-S. when i went to install them today, the passenger seat went in fine but the large connector on the driver's seat was a different size!

i dont understand why the connectors are different between an 02 and 03 but it looks like the wires going into the connectors are same.

should i just snip the connectors off, and heatshrink the corresponding colored wires together?

i figure it could work BUT there are a few things that might cause a problem. for example there are 2 yellow wires on each side. what if i connect 1 yellow wire to the wrong yellow wire on the other side? would it create an issue?

also i was thinking (this may be a stupid question) could i just bunch of the wires together and connect them all? so that different wires would be touching each other? or would that interfere with the signal or whatever?

i really want this seat to work. anyone else have any experience with this?

thanks in advance

NOOOO don't just bunch up the wires. Physics doesn't work like that. I really wish I could help you further with the problem, as i find it interesting that 02 TL-S and 03 TL-S have a different seat connector.

Before you try anything, count up the connectors on the chair and in the car. There may be a slim chance you are just making a silly mistake.

You could take a chance with the yellow wires, and a couple seconds might not hurt, but it might also fry something. Whatever you do, don't bunch up the wires.

Good Luck, I hope someone can offer more help.

yeah the yellow harness hooked up fine.

its just the large harness that powers the seat movement and heated seats.

I took that from the TL-P seat diagram, but I did check the TL-S and same wires go to the same motors. Here's the TL-S, this was under the memory seat diagram, so its a bit expanded. But you'll see same color wires to same motors.
