Oil filter for 02

My dealer delivered an oil filter 15400-PLM-A02
It looked much smaller than the prior - so I asked the dealer to double check and confirmed the number and said they had changed its size. When I lifted the car to change - it's not even close, so I did not change it - Any advise???

See the thread:
OEM Filters have shrunk

The large filters are gone and replaced by the new smaller filters.

Two questions (1) Why did Acura change the filters; and (2) what is the part number listed on the new smaller filter?

The part number for the oil filter I purchased for my 2001 TL is: 15400-PLM-A01.

Honda/Acura changed the filters to "standardize" with other models.
