Question 02 front Fascia on 99 tl

I was involved in a wreck on SATURDAY and the whole front of my car needs replaced. I was just curious if 02 front fascia would fit perfectly? Everthing needs replaced headlight housing, bumper, left right quarter panel ,hood, underbody chin spoiler. I have done a search on the site but really find no definite answer on this. I am sure alot of people are not for this change but imho I like the 02 front end. I believe I can also get a 02 airbag with the chrome ACURA emble aswell aslong as it fits. Please some one give me some answer on this . Thanks!!

I don't think it will fit....It's because I think they made the frame a little bit differently and the headlights are bigger and the fact that the grill now sits on the bumper instead of going up with the hood. So unless they can weld on the 02 front frame..then..i dunno...

My dealer said that in order to do that you have to get the bumper, fenders, hood, headlights and many other underpinnings to make it fit. Its not worth it. Just get the blaze front bumper. Or the japanese oen so that you can have fogs.

Totaling it are you serious? I think its gonna run maybe 8000 or 9000 to fix it. . I have low miles so I dont think they would do that . I only have 37,000 miles on it. If It does turn out to be totaled I will get a 01 instead w/navi. I cant afford a 02 type s right now .

I truely doubt it will be totaled. The damage isn't really severe. From the pics, there appears to be alot of exterior damage, and minimal frame damage. Plus...when they total a car...that means the cost to repair it is more then the value or near the value of the car.

Also, *IF* let's say they do...just go ahead and get a 02 TL-S because it's not worth it to get a 01 for the cost. and miles. I know..cause I tried to get a 01...i couldn't find any decent ones..and it all had 25K + miles on it. And the price is close enough for you to just spend a few more to get a brand new 02

i wish sum1 hit my car and it was totally their fault, and then they wud pay for a kit, which is the same price as replacing the OEM parts. lol. my friends volvo is ****ed up in the front, so he purposely parks backwards in school with his front jutting out, increasing the chances that sum1 will **** it up, and then they cud pay for new parts

hahah! That's funny! BUT....most of the time when someone hits your car in the parking lot, they will run anyway. So he's gonna have to claim a hit & run..and his insurance is gonna have to fork out the $$$ and from what I believe that will jack up the insurance a little bit. I would love to do that when I get my TL-S...but I just don't like the feeling of any type of metal damage on my brand new baby.
