the dealer told me that the 02/03 cup holder will not fit in the 2000 TL. Is this true?
Also they said it costs $80. if it does fit is there a cheaper place i can get it from?

The dealer is talking about the whole cup holder unit with the folding doors and they are correct, it wont fit the 2000. However, the little plastic insert does fit and its about 9 bucks

Yes, the 02/03 insert is about 9 bucks at any Acura dealer.

I'm guessing you spoke to someone at Pohanka? Just a guess. Any ways, as mentioned above, they're trying to charge you for the whole assembly. Tell them you want this part number 77237-S0K-A02. Make sure they get the number correct, 77237-S0K-A01 is the part number for the 99-00 holder - already been through that screw up with my dealer.
