Thumbs down '00 TL Seat MOUNTING Bracket BREAKS!!

Just a heads up... recently I got in my 2000 TL and I noticed when I sat back that the whole seat would tilt back about 1/2 an inch. It was almost like a rocking chair. Imagine my horror when I saw one of the 4 main bolts holding the seat to the floor had literally snapped in half. I am a small guy, only 5'6 and 135 so trust me it isn't a weight issue. I brought it in that day because I felt it was hazardous to drive like that (who knows if the seat would hold in an accident) and they were able to fix it right away but were suprised I wanted them to inspect all the other bolts on the driver AND passenger side. They acted like it was no big deal but to be honest I have never seen anything like it in any car I have owned. Just watch out...

Other than that I am lucky I have a 2000 TL 1 1/2 years old with 17,500 miles and no problems with squeaking or anything. It has been nearly problem free (I had a squeaking moonroof and seatbelt plastic covering that were fixed on the first try around 8,000 miles.)

I've seen the same problem on my friend's mid-90's Civic.
