** Newbie here: DIY spark plug change and maintenance light?**
Hi guys,
I just got my 2003 TL Type-S and was wondering if there was a DIY guide on changing spark plugs and getting rid of the "maintenance light".
Thanks a lot guys, lots of great people and information here

The voltage they work *best* at is too low for that engine. Sure they may actually be listed as compatible in some part guide, but they'll get fouled out in no time. I've used them in even lower performance cars and had nothing but bad luck...my

TO turn off the Maintenance Light here what you have to do.
1. Turn engine OFF
2. Hold down SELECT & RESET Button together then turn the key to II ignition switch ON
3. Just hold it for about 10seconds until maintenance turn OFF

See my notes about German plugs in Jap cars then return those plugs and buy the NGK Iridium
I dont think you can buy "iridium platinum fusions"
irid and plat are a one or the other metal for the electrode
And you dont want that Bosch massive 4 grounds type either
Just trust that thousands of members here are using the same plug for a reason. If you dont really want our advice- stop asking

Alright lets settle down folks it was prolly a mistake 01tl4tl is a good guy, it all depends in the mood one is in to respond like that, I speak from experience ive done that before, not here tho thank god I would of been Yelled at by the Mods But anyways, I got the NGK Iridium IX's. The tiny electrode thingy Is smaller compared to the Boschs and such. NGK is what came with the car so why get anything diff? There they same price as any of the other ones and your not gonna get more performance out of any of the other ones.

These are the stock replacement plugs for the TL
J32-A1
NGK- PZFR5E-11
DENSO- PKJ16CR-L11
J32-A2
NGK- PZFR6E-11
DENSO- PKJ20CR-M11
Either will work. If im not mistaken the double plat will last longer.
There is no benefit from the iridium, i would just stick with the OE plug

Sounds like a good score then RD
Never hurts to run a can of Seafoam thru the intake before you change the plugs, let any carbon blow-off get stuck on the old plugs
ALL OTHERS This does not mean you must replace plugs after seafoam- it means if you are going to do the plugs- do this first

Yep I was going to seafoam in about 1.5K miles. Through intake, oil, fuel tank. Change plugs and oil about 50 miles later I can't wait, my car has 93K miles and has never been Seafoamed and by the looks of it, it will make a BIG difference at 93K
