Talking $60 exhaust mod!

I did this like 2 hours ago. I have the kakimoto-R's which are basically like the comptechs (axle-back). Anyways, I went to a Meineke and had them remove both of my resonators and now my exhaust is fricken loud! I love it! Very loud around 2000-3000 rpms. You would be able to hear me down the street. It's kind of like the exhausts you hear on 4-cyl. hondas except smoother and not exactly that loud. I'm not guaranteed if it will be loud when the comptechs, but mine's was as silent as the comptechs before(you almost had to search for the purrr and couldn't hear it down the street) and now it's sounds great. If you're one of those that doesn't like loud, don't try this. Has anyone taken off their resonators with the Comptechs on? I'm just curious how it sounds coming from that muffler.

Loud and Comptech is kind of an oxymoron. I would assume if someone wanted loud, they wouldn't spend the cash on Comptech and then remove the resonators.

I'm waiting for the first person to buy the Mugens and then go and remove their resonators.

can someone tell me if removing the resonators will void the warranty? I am getting HKS and I was thinking about removing the resonators also.

I wouldn't worry about losing the warranty. Think about all those other decked out Hondas out there thrashing their cars. I bet they think "what warranty?" I doubt they'll void your warranty. Your modding your car anyway so I wouldn't worry about it. If your car looks tight, the dealership may even give you props and should be cool with everything. But check FAQ's, there's a section on the law of losing your warranty. Like they have to prove it was so and so that messed up your car. I'm kinda guessing, but the resonators only restrict noise and your exhaust will be a little warmer, but not enough to where you should care.
