$400 Price Increase for TL-S

I went to go buy my new TL-S from Keyes Acura Van Nuys last night. I was looking for a price around 29,000. The Sales Manager didn't give me the time of day, basically walked away from me when I mentioned that price. He informed me that Acura has raised the invoice price by $400 bucks but not the MSRP. So his best price would be $600 over invoice which would be around 29,500. I didn't believe the price increase but he told me I can call Acura to verify this. The price increase he said was for all new TL-S that were shipped after a specific date. Can anyone tell me if this is true??????? It's not easy getting the price where you want it when the car is not on the lot. I just need to be patient with my purchase, yet I want my DAMN car!!!!!!!!!

I've been doing business with Keyes for many years, and I'm sure that if Dan told you that Acura increased the price on the TL-S, it is the truth.

What sales manager is going to tell you something like that if its not true?

From what I've seen here, $29,500 is a fair price. If there has in fact been a $400 increase in invoice cost, it's a great price. So get your DAMN car already!

Yep, that's about right. Was at my dealership this weekend and the TL-S that was 30,699 is not 30,999. Market value due to popularity/demand of car. So, hey 29,500 is an excellent price compared to other states.

Go get your car quickly. Don't Stop, pass Go!

Hey....$400...not too bad...the Tl-S is in very high demand in southern cal right now. If he's not charging you any more to move the car from somewhere else..i say get it!!

Be a happy camper like the rest of us.

Just remember, you've got a 50/50 chance that you'll NEVER see the kind of MPG the sticker claims.

That's a good price. Search the forum a bit and you'll see what people had paid in general.

did the guy say only the TL-S got the increase in invoice? I just heard some other dealer claim that all TL's increased. but none of the other dealers said anything when i inquired about the TL-P.

I'll join the others and say go for it. 29,500 is really pretty good. We're picking ours up tonight and paid 29,927 (no-Nav, w/wheel locks). That's with a friend who's the finance manager at the dealer. The Costco buying service price is 29,950 right now in Northern Virginia, so we beat that by a few bucks. Next week is the end of the month and of the quarter, so it will be a good time to buy.

If you really must pay invoice or below, buy a Maxima.

I had "the #1 TL dealer in the country" tell me that they increase it by $700.....

Fortunately, the dealer down the street didn't get that memo and I got my car at the price I wanted :p

Talking Grab it!

At 29,500, it's a steal! You're asking for too much at a lower price despite the increase. I think you'll find most people here paid more than 29,500.... a lot more.

Keyes is famous for its deceptive practices...I would be careful to make sure there is no catch to the low price

It's a done deal!!

Just ordered it!!!!!! $29,700 with wheel locks and mud guards. It will be here in 2 weeks. It was a pain finding the silver so I had to get it from the factory. I think the price will mean nothing once I get this sweet car! Can't wait to be the owner of the best car in it's class.

Purchase Price

I have to say I lucked out. I just finished my transaction with CarsDirect.Com the final price with front underbody, rear spoiler, out the door NO tax, under 32,000. I get car on the 27th, cant wait. When I went back to check, they had raised the price and the rep did advise of price change. I just saved a few hundred dollars!!!!

On 09/21/01, prior to placing my order at the local dealer, I called Acura Corp. sales, in Torrancce, to check on the current invoice price for a TL-S. They informed me that the current invoice for a TL-S w/Navi was $30,282.68. If my figures are correct that an approx. increase of $332.00. When I placed my order the GM stated that the increase was more like $390.00. So I apparently had the old invoice wrong ($29950.00) per Edmunds.

So for now I guess I'm GOT TLS ORDERED. Waiting & waiting & waiting, gee it has only been 5 days now, another 7 to 10 to go.

Hey..when you get your car and want to do stuff to it....lets roll together so we can haggle with them. hehehe...oh yeah..and AVOID ST. ANDRES!!! Just like we've heard 'Say NO TO ALEX!!" I'll do it with St. Andres.....how can one go from a quoted $180 install.....to $450.?!! NO to ST. ANDRES and ALEX (from South Coast Acura anyway).
