Lightbulb $28,500 for 03 TL-P with Navi?

Hi guys,
After doing some numbers work with a few Acura dealers here in Houston, TX. I finally got an offer of $28,500 for an 03' TL base with Navigation, anthrancite exterior. Drive-out at $30,839.08. The dealership is John Eagle Acura. Does that seem like a good deal? if not, in your experience, at what price is a good deal?

$28,500 is an awesome deal. I believe invoice is ~$28,172 for an '03 TL-P w/navi. I'm currently working on a deal for the same car at $29,500 inc dest.

i'm still trying to play hard-ball with them. But i'm more leaning toward to accept that offer. If you think it's a good deal then i'm more confident with my decision. Thanks

Tell him to give it to you at $29,500 out the door. What is the finance rate? The economy is going to hell, and fast. He won't rescind his offer...especially not now. WCOM's stock just got slammed hard...there goes everyone's 401K money, along with about 17,000 more jobs...

Also, have him through in a spoiler, wood shift knob, and a wooden steering wheel, or any of the combination...

$29,500 drive-out? is that a realistic deal? i'm hustling with them so that they'd give me some accessories. I got a loan from Peoplefirst.com with 5.75% interest rate.

I did the peoplefirst thing when I bought. Give the dealer a chance to beat the rate. He may be able to! Mine did!

That rate totally sucks, especially on a new car. I have 5.75% on my used '00 TL that I got back in Feb. Go to your bank and see what they will give you and also see what the dealer will give.

Also, you can always make $29,500 out-the-door a reality if you keep at it. Don't fall for what their invoice price is because that isn't what they actually paid for it.

Good luck.

Everything seems cheaper now than it was 2 years ago with the economy going down.

JohnnyB_S, why do you think 5.75% from Peoplefirst suck? i thought that's a pretty good rate, but i'm still shopping around for the best interests rate. Also, I'm crossing my finger for the 29,500 out-the-door. The good thing is that they KNOW i'm not reluctant to walk out of the deal so i won't be one of those victimized loser. Honestly, I cann't wait to get my ass in those TL. Thanks for all your helps people:p

I'm in Houston and got my 2002 TL for 29,500 drive out...2003 TL w/ navi for 29.5K drive out is a little pushing it...I paid off my car right away at the dealership too..

The reason I say that is because that is the rate I have on my USED '00 TL. You are buying a BRAND NEW car...you should easily be able to get at least a percentage point lower than what I have. Then again, interest rates are relevant depending on your credit history. I have excellent credit, which is why I got that rate on my USED car. If you pay attention to interest rates, they are at an all time recent low. Now is the time to re-finance your house, student loans, etc. See what the dealer will give you in terms of financing. Then again, I don't know your credit history, so 5.75% might be good for you, but in general, there is much better out there, it's just a matter if you quaify.
