$169 a good deal? Or a little suspicious?

I've been shopping around for tint. One shop quoted me $275 for 35% all around w/ Llumar. Life time warrenty all that. Does that seem expensive?

Another shop quoted me $250 all around w/ some other brand. After some bargaining, they cut it down to $169, which they said was the factory price. Should I question their quality with that kind of cut of price? Or is that a good deal? I looked at some of their jobs (they were working on an Escalade and another TL) and it looked pretty good to me. Should I got with the $169. It also has life time warrenty.

I got mine done for $180+lifetime warranty. So I'd say the $169 price is good...tint shops like to over charge for labor now a day...and unless you're getting a metallic film put on, you shouldn't be spending more than $200 on tints.

That looks hot. Too bad 20% is illegal. I'm sticking to 35%.

I can choose the metallic film, and it's still $169. The back window is done in one piece and everything seems good. I'm just worried b/c the film is not Llumar or Solarguard it might be some no namer, that's why it's so cheap? I'll call the guy and get the name.

20% is illegal here as well but I haven't had been pulled over for them *yet* .. *knocks on wood.* You can still see through them on a bright day...but I guess to each their own. Post pics asap...

Is yours metallic?

Metallic has little metal particles and doesn't fade right? Is it reflective?
Just regular black looks to bland. I'm gonna go check out the types they have tomorrow. I'm excited!!

I have 3M Tints .. and yes, it does have little metal flakes in it. You can see them when your looking through the window while driving on a sunny day.
