wow...so i am getting ripped off??

the guy got the price straight from comptech...he said 2 hours worth of labor because he has to take off the bumper and stuff

i don't want to do the install myself because i'm afraid that i'm gonna screw it up (no experience what so ever) and i've been reading ppls post on how difficult the icebox installation is.

I'm getting mine installed for $50.00 and my comptech headers installed for $100... you're getting ripped off bigtime. A warning about installing it yourself .. unless you're completely comfortable w/ tools and w/o taking things apart and knowing HOW THEY GO BACK TOGETHER .. do not install it yourself... pay the $50.00 or $60.00 ....

I installed my AEM CAI in about 1.5 hours because I took off my bumper as well and it wasn't fun putting it back but it isn't hard. I say do it yourself, if not then find someone that will do it for cheaper because you are getting ripped off...Hell, I could probably find someone that will install my intake for me for less than $20 all I have to do is buy them lunch..hahaha But good thing I install most of my stuff on my own...Well, at least my brother does for me...Good thing we have a mechanic in the house..hahaha

It's such a simple install. I'm no gear-head by any means, and I had absolutely no trouble installing mine whatsoever. I'd say give it a try, can't really mess much up with an intake install. Anything over $30 is a rip off, and even then it's crazy. Even if you take the bumper off which is not difficult at all), the install shouldn't take much more than an hour, if that.
