Widest Tires for A-Spec Rims?
Hi all,
What is the widest tire you can put on 18" A-Spec Rims? I saw the sticky regarding appropriate tire sizes, but am thinking of going wider.
I currently have 245/45/18 on them but am thinking of going 255/45/18. I understand there's going to be a difference in my speedometer with these.
Also, which tires are the quietest?

Just an opinion, but the OD of the 245/45-18 is 26.7" and the 255/45-18 is 26.9" so speedo will read slow by 3 mph @ approx. 60 mph. I decided to go wider also, and I put TSW Snetterton's on my RL 20" x 8.5" in front with 245/35-20 and 20" x 10" in rear with 285/30-20's. I'll post some pics soon, I think it might be the first set of staggered wheels I've seen an 2GRL. Michelin's Pilot Sport are the quietest in my opinion.

I was unaware that Acura made any 8.5 inch wide A-Spec wheels. They usually run 18x8 inches wide, +55 mm offset. Even the 2005 A-SPEC SEMA show concept ran 20x8 wheels.
Regardless, you have Slawek65's answer about what he has tried.
