Volk CE28N Wheel ... Does this make sense?
On my continuous quest to find a wheel for my RL, I was just looking at some specs for the Amuse Legend wheel (a Volk CE28N). They are as followz:
Front - 19X8.5 (+41)
Rear - 19X9.5 (+27)
According to my calculations, this is the difference from stock (17x8 +55):
Front - Extended 20mm (approx 3/4")
Rear - Extended 47mm (approx 1-7/8")
Is it me, or do these wheelz seem to stick out a huge amount? The image of the Amuse Legend does not show any fender extensions, nor does it indicate there will be any fit problemz. With tires sticking out that much, I'm guessing there will be a lot of road debris hurled all over the side of the vehicle. Although I love the wheel design, I'm ready to cross this one off my list ... Your commentz are encouraged.

The Mugen side skirts and the underbody spoilers extend the body out quite a bit at the bottom. The suspension drop also helps reduce the "sticking out" look. If you see in the pic, the top of the wheel well matches nicely.
Without the kit, on a stock height RL, they would look like they were sticking way out

Lookz like the Mugen NR is moving up the list ... Wish there were more wheel alternatives to choose from.

I scanned the Amuse RL from option and they list the specs AMuse use for their wheels...also one person was kind enough to translate the article so it does mention a problem with wide wheels...

Judging by the pictures, that RL/Legend has 4 of the 19x8.5 wheels on it. I only see one small picture with the 19x9.5 wheel.
Look at the depth from the lip to the spokes and in ALL the pictures except the one the rears are the same as the fronts.
I'm guessing you would order 4 of the 19x8.5, as most Hondas are (except the s2k) the samre fr & rr. Those 9.5 wide wheels would take some sort of work to make fit, although I'm not sure what.
Just my .02

^ *That is what it looks like... i think the extra inch in wheel width will result in you having to roll the rear fender...i don't see any cheap suspension mods helping it fit, unless you have lots of negative camber to help tuck the wheel in...
I think the 9.5 looks better because of the lip but the wheels are very nice in general...

i just noticed bulletproof is asking 4,000 for the wheels with no tires...they are crazy... the wheels should be 2500 max...
it almost sounds like it would be cheaper to fly to japan and buy things 1st hand...

Maybr you don't realize what you are really buying here.
These require a special forging to make the correct bolt pattern.
Forged prices go down with higher volume. I can imagine the volume that Amuse must be doing with these (barely any at all). You are not buying a CE28N. You are buying a special, custom rim that amuse had made specifically for this car in very low volumes.
This is the kind of wheel that people will remember 10 years from now and be worth a lot of money still.

Well, it is kinda like buying HRE wheels...they are custom fit for you car and application, and they are $1000 to start with....many get up over $2000 each.....but they are bad ass! You gotta pay to play, playah!
So yeah, you better make sure you like em!
