Tire Stretching help boys!!!!
I currently have a pretty weak set up... but i want a lil bit more aggressive with what i have...
i have 245/35/20 tires, with 20x9 plus 43 offset...
I want to buy tires that will give me a good stretch...
would 225/30/20 work? anyone with knowledge let me know...
Currently i have a 20mm spacer in the rear... looks flush but looking for more stretch look...
i'd like to do some drastic changes... but need advice... anything is welcome... thanks
heavyRL and 007spy your opinion is needed... and Zelaya as well... lol... thanks guys.

That tire is way small for the RL in terms of diameter. I also would highly advise against stretching a 225 on a 9" wheel on a 4,000lb car. You're just asking for trouble IMO.

People do all kinds of things these days. Shit, people in Florida like to snort bath salts and eat the faces of homeless people. That doesn't mean it's a kosher thing to do.
Personally, doing what I do for a living, I'm 100% against tire stretching. It just doesn't make any sense to me. It's dangerous, hard on your tires, leaves your wheels exposed to more road debris and IMO looks tacky.
If you absolutely feel the need to go this route I wouldn't go any smaller than a 235/35/20. Keep in mind that all of these narrower tires you're looking at fall well short of the OEM load index meaning the tires are not suitable for the weight of the vehicle. Stretching them further increases the stress on the tires. Not a great idea if you ask me.

Well, you CAN do anything you want...I'm certain that's to balance out having a decent sized rim AND a softer more luxury ride. BUT, bigger tire also makes rim look smaller...and is the nemesis to getting a proper stance if you're into getting the rim flush and the ride height right.
Just my opinion...as a rule...
20's get 30
19's get 35
18's get 40
17's get 45
More than that looks bubbly in my opinion.

i also second that stretching on a 4000+ car is a bad idea. your from chicago. you know how shitty the midwest roads are.. cali/florida/texas all difference kind of roads they don't see snow ice like we do so their roads are nice and smooth not pot hole ridden and uneven every 20 feet

I could not agree more with this post. And if you are going to be running 120+ mph on public roads, which we know you do, for God's sake, at least care about someone else's life, and use the correct tire.
