Tire Recommendations?

Tire Recommendations?
(05 RL) I was wondering what everyone is running for all season tires on the stock 17" rims. I was looking at tirerack and they have maybe 6 all season tires for the car? I just got the car and I want to replace the OEM tires before the snow starts to fly. I love Kumho and Yokohama tires but they do not seem to make tires that fit the stock rims. Has anyone tried the Toyo Versado LX tires?

I've seen some people make good comments about the dunlop sport. Bridgestone turanza is also supposed to be a good tire. I've got 47k on my tires, which are original OEM michelins. I'm a little concerned about how they will perform this upcoming winter, but don't want to drop $1000 on new tires just yet.

Just installed an alt size 255/55/17... seems to work well for me... see thread:

I don't think a "true" AS tire exists, that is one that functions well in all environments, there will always be trade-offs. The best handling tire in summer conditions probably will not function well as a snow tire, and that too depends on what you mean by snow- 1-2 in. occasionally or repeated storms that drop 6-12 in. on the road; and don't forget about ice.
If you get nasty weather in the winter, as we do in the northeast, go for a separate set of snow tires. You can save a lot by mounting a more common size such as 225/55-17 as mentioned elsewhere; the rolling diameter is very close to the stock size and it fits the stock wheels just fine.
I was able to find a set of used stock wheels for about $400 and recently purchased a set of Vredestein Winterac XL V rated snow tires. They handle great and expect they will do well in snow based on past experience with my SAAB 9000.
Good luck.
