Tein Street Flex Coilovers
Not sure if this is where I post this.. (noob)
Just wondering if anybody has any info on the Tein Street Flex coilovers? like ride comfort, adjustability, and quality overall. Found a set on HeelToeAuto for $1500 anyone worked with them before?

I think we have seen 1 member put them on, but they weren't all that active. Numerous others have shown interest, but their availability seemed lacking.
The Comfort Sport series has always received rave reviews here, but they are just about the best you can get for the KB1. Other forums don't have as nice of things to say about Tein quality.
Lots of questions here, few answers. https://acurazine.com/forums/tires-w...lovers-906568/

We have seen mostly positive reviews from our customers for the Street Flex for most vehicles in general. I can't comment in regards to the RL specifically though. I imagine they would provide similar ride comfort and quality. They have independent ride height, damping, and spring preload adjustment.

Nope. See above.

Hey guys. I currently have the no longer available TEIN comfort sports on my 06 RL. I am now waiting for the TEIN street flex to arrive. I will let you know how they feel. If anyone is interested in my Comfort Sports you can have TEIN of California rebuild them to factory spec. Make me an offer. They have not been abused, daily driver. The seals need replacement on 2 of them.

The EDFC is compatible with the Street Flex. Any TEIN coilover that has adjustable damping via the top nut can use the EDFC motor, like the Street Advance as well. I've gotten a lot of positive feedback from the EDFC kit for other vehicle, but haven't personally seen or heard of it on the RL.

You should be able to adjust the dampening factor to compensate for the stiffer spring rate.

I should receive them tomorrow according to DHL. I will then get an appointment set to get the Comfort Sports swapped out. Can't wait to have a solid suspension under me again.

Any updates on the street flex? Love to here how they feel.
At first I was leaning towards Largus coils but I stumbled across a few sets of Tein Flex's in Japan for about $650US. After shipping/duties I'd probably be looking at 1000-1100 CDN which is a deal considering they're going for 1800+ here. With the extra savings, that's an edfc

Yahoo japan auctions..
There's the Largus coils too for under 600 but for the money the teins are a far better choice. Hoping to grab a set within the month.
Need to get some local RLs together

So I got the front struts on last night and got home at 2am. Dam Japanese instructions are impossible to read. The Street flex are definitely a stiffer ride but not harsh. I will be installing the rears tonight. I have to play around with the dampening a lil to settle the ride down a bit more but they feel great. I am going for my track license this weekend so it should be fun to see how these new struts perform on track conditions.

The EDFC doesnt come with either the comfort sport or street flex coils? separate item? buying these type of coils rendure useless before getting wheels/tires? (dont know what exactly i want yet) curious....

The EDFC is a separate item.
I think most modders would tell you suspension needs to come before wheels or else you risk the 4x4 illusion. BlazingGT ended up on redriled, stock TL 17"x8" wheels with H&R springs, and it looked great.

How low can you go with the Tien Street Flex coilovers? I sold my 6MT TL for a KB1 and wanting to drop it as soon as possible. Placed an order for H&R springs but these Tien's look tempting if I can go lower... I'm looking for a no gap drop.

Just the sub boxes and stock shift knob. Shipping quote on the boxes was $75.

I have the Tein Comfort Sport and it drops the car to have no gap. The Flex are supposed to be capable of going lower than the Comfort Sport. Pretty sure you can achieve the no gap look and/or lower.
