Swift Springs for 05-11 RL
Hi guys I have been begging Swift to make me a set of springs for my 09 RL and they finally said they will work on a prototype if i can gather enough interest for at least 10 sets of springs. If you don't know who swift is, these guys make arguably the best springs in the world that are used by professional racing teams all over the world from Nascar to JGTC 500 in Japan. The company is a Japanese company so you can expect the best of the best. I basically wanted to gauge some interest and feed back from this community, specially the RL since is the one with the least Aftermarket support.
If you guys think H&R & eibach are good springs wait till you feel Swift springs with Variable active rates. Here's a link if you want to get more background from the company swift.

Please let me know what you guys think!

We need a price estimate. Jacob King tried this with Megan Coilovers and got about 6 people on board. Not to bum you out, but it fell through. I'm interested, but need a price range.

Any idea on the drop height?

I'll can't say for sure but swift it's not known for having the lowest drop but rather keep it functional and build the springs around our shock's valving specs tolerance that way we will be ensured maximum shock/strut life. But If i have to guess, I'd say it won't be more than 1" all around, which IMO will be perfect.
LSM LEGEND,
With all due respect, you obviously don't know or never heard of swift and not that expect everyone to know who they are, but fact of the matter is that you can not compared tein or eibach springs to swift springs, People on the daily basis replace their tein coilovers springs for swifts lol. Take from someone who has experience every spring out there. Nothing compares to Swifts. BTW tein are the shittiest springs you can buy from my personal experience.

But if none of my friends have heard of that brand, how will they know I have a sweet ride?

Here's a couple of informative threads that explain why swift is superior to anything out there. Read up if you have time.

I bet his response will be two fold: better quality and progressive spring rates.
However, I have a question about progressive spring rates. I understand that the springs get stiffer as they are compressed, and that is all fine and dandy for cornering. However, if I hit a bump, pot hole, or any other road imperfection, won't my springs get stiffer as they are compressed? Will this make the bump bone jarring? My favorite aspect of the RL suspension is that when I hit a bump going 60-70, I'm not thrown out of my seat. Really imperfections aren't noticeable compared to sportier rides. I know my cornering sucks b/c of this, but since this is my daily driver, I'm not sure I can compromise "bad road" ride quality for tighter corners.
Am I on the wrong track here?

I am aware of this, but what can i say, once you go swift you never go back haha. I have had H&R and Swift springs in the same vehicle before i can tell you that the ride quality it's incomparable. 2. The H&R drop too aggressive for my taste and i know they don't take into account valving specs of factory struts, their main purpose is to drop the car as much as they can. Not to mention that H&R WILL sag lowering the car even more overtime Or what Most people like to call "settling". This will significantly shorten the life of your shocks. Swift are Guaranteed to never ever sag, this means that you will always have the same Drop Swift intended no matter how long the springs have been in the car.

I'd be interested if it's in the $200 range and the drop is no more than one inch. One thing I like about the RL is the ground clearance, but hate the slushy ride.

$300 shipped sounds pretty reasonable. I haven't found H&R's for less than $255.

One question: how do these springs compare to the Aspec configuration? I am contemplating on getting the Aspec or go with the Swift springs, do you know what the differences are between the two?

Technically speaking, of the two you mention, only the A-Spec is really available now.
As you know, is springs and dampers. Lowers just about 3/4". They are a great bang for the buck, especially if you do not have a dealer put in the package...it is routine work, and you do not have to pay $850 for the dealer to install it.
It would be interesting if Swift actually designed something for the RL, however, because their design philosophy seems a little different than others.
