Spacers question for ZDX wheels
All,
I've done my research and I've found out that the ZDX rims I bought for my RL will require spacers. Most members run 6mm but from what I've been reading, I should get hubcentric spacers to avoid vibrations during high speed. I've been searching for a good 3 days and can't find any 6mm-7mm spacers that are 5x120 with a centerbore of 64.1mm... Three question: 1) Does anyone know where I can find 6mm-7mm 5x120 CB 64.1mm spacers? 2) If I cant get it, I've found 5mm.... would it clear? Honest question even though it might sound stupid. 3) If 1 and 2 does not work, I've found them in 3mm, Can I buy 2 of them and double them up to make them 6mm? Would it be safe to do that? Thanks Y'ALL |
justn made a clever point in a similar thread about spacers. You can put washers on 2-3 of the lugs until the wheels clear the BBK. Then measure the washer height to determine the size spacer you need. 5mm might clear; this could confirm.

right, that's how "backyard" mechanics measure things.
stack washers on the hub until spoke clears BBK. take off wheel, take off washers and measure stack. this will let you know how much is needed to clear. also, hub centric rings are different than spacers. spacers sit on the hub and on the lugs itself. hub centric ring is just a tiny ring that sits in center bore of wheel |
I was wrong, you can find spacers in our hub sizes

Hey!
We have a great place to get some custom wheel spacers made. They're hub and wheel centric; machined with a lip to ensure proper centering of the rim, made from 6061 aluminum, they come with grade 10 studs (two grades above OEM), and a lifetime warranty! Feel free to PM me for pricing. These are a quality part, custom made for each order. Spacers/adapters ordered can often be made and shipped in the same day. Happy modding, -Craig |

You are awesme!!! Thank you!! To follow the measuring technique, where would I be able to get the washers at? |
^general washers from the hardware store. nothing special, you're just stacking them on the stud just to measure. if you have no use for them afterwards, maybe you can return them, but you're gonna have a stack more than 5
