Snow Tire and Wheel Question

I hope to buy an '06 RL shortly, and am wondering what other NE owners do when it comes to snow tires/wheels. And I hope to pay around $42,500, in case anyone is curious, with the clear bra and Music Link accessories.

I prefer snows over M/S tires in winter, and I like the looks of the 18" wheels others have highlighted here, particularly the ASAs, but I don't know what the A-Spec wheels look like.

My question is: what snow tires do owners prefer? If I buy 18' summer wheels, whether A-Spec or something else, can I transfer the 17" tires that come standard to these new larger wheels and use the smaller standard wheels with new snow tires for winter driving, saving a little money? Or am I better off buying new larger wheels with new larger summer tires (quieter and better performing, hopefully) as well as 17" snow tires to use with the standard wheels? And any opinions on the A-Spec wheels vs. ASAs or Nogaros?

I think that's around four or five questions, sorry for the length. Boiled down to "what have others found best for summer wheels/tires and winter wheels/tires".

get 18" wheels with summer tires and use factory 17" wheels for winter. You can't use 17" tires on 18" wheels. As for winter tires- 225/55/17 is perfect match for factory 245/50/17 size.you have few options in this size for winter tires. Many of RL owners have Dunlops M3. Check www.tirerack.com for more options for winter and summer tires.Tx.

Tire rack has some great recommendations for the RL. I might buy the Pirelli 0 Nero M&S for all season performance. Not too many choices of wheels though on that site. I'm gone to keep the stock wheels for winter and purchase new wheels and tires for summer. That's a good price for the RL. Does 42,500 include the clear bra and audio accessory?

$42,500 includes the Music Link, not the bra. And I may have that installed separately.

Sales seem to be slow, and the dealers seem to be willing to bargain. I'm sure this trend will continue through the summer.
