I'd say polished or black

I don't know if it's the exposure in the shot, but they look too light to me. I'd personally go for a darker color. If you're painting, definitely clear coat.

it was very sunny. and that's just after they got done so probably still have dust and flakes on them

they look darker today. probably start to oxidize already

I'm stuck between black/machined face, metal/machined face, complete black, or just clearcoat over

but Ideally I would prefer to get them back to chrome or as close as I can without spending a fortune

anyone can give me some suggestions on whats available that I can do at home?
hyper silver? or gunmetal?

and also what is the color of the OEM acura black wheels? I might just do that

Have you considered powdercoating instead of painting?

I had a set of wheels refinished recently. I really wanted to have them powdercoated, after a lot of thought I decided to have them painted. Depending on the time/ temperature of the bake it can weaken the wheels!? I vote painting a hyper silver.

I went through my brothers friend who is just getting started. You could ask a local dealership/ shop who their wheel guy is. Some of those guys are mobile and might even come to you. Good luck!

Interesting, that's the first I hear of that. Both my sets of wheels have been repaired and powdercoated. Knock on wood, it's been over 4 years and I haven't had any issues with damaging wheels in Michigan and Illinois with notoriously bad roads

I think it's really only an issue for forged wheels. Sounds like it worked out for you! Any pictures?

It's usually 75 to 100$ a wheel here, that seems pricey... I guess it helps that I got both my sets of wheels for 200$ a set
