RL Wheel Upgrade and Tech Package
RL Wheel Upgrade and Tech Package
Gettting closer to an RL purchase and had a question when looking at wheels. Yes I did see the RL wheel guide and couldnt recall if there was an y consideration needed if the car has the Tech Package.
Could someone advise if when looking I need to be concerned about anything other than the offset and bolt pattern?

Clearing the BBK is the biggest concern. Offset alone cannot guarantee that they will clear. To answer your question though, there are two tech packages. Tech I does not have CMBS, ACC, or the PAX wheels, and Tech II has all of those (commonly referred to as the CMBS package). While the PAX wheels are different, there is no issue changing them out to aftermarket. The only things to consider are lug nuts, no spare tire in the trunk, and that if a flat occurs, the car will think you have 200 miles to spare when you don't.
If you do need more answers about PAX wheel swap, see here: https://acurazine.com/forums/tires-w...swered-883780/
If you are only getting a Tech I package, there are zero concerns if the wheels fit.

Other Options?
In looking at countless other pics on this site of RL's with non stock wheels I wonder if I shouldnt limit myself to A spec wheels only.
Any suggestions based on the following?
1. no polished chrome for sure
2. "plug and play" no rolling fenders or spacers etc
3. want it to fit well in wheel well
4. no compromised ride
5. no suspension changes or caliper impact
6. i like the look of the concave (dished)
7. dont want baller look, have that look on another car
Any suggestions? Ive looked at some of the other sites referenced here and simulators and nothing "looks" right. They dont look heavy enough too much negative space.
Any suggestions? Havent firmed up budget yet but Im not looking at HRE level and highlines like that, unless someone has a kiler deal on some used highlines.
