Help! removing strut brace?

Hey I recently purchased the RV6 HFPC's and J-Pipe. Trying to install myself. I got the front cat out no problem following the DIY they made for Accord V6. I hit a bump in the road when I realized our front strut brace connects to the firewall. Anyone know how to get at these bolts? or what size they are? I need to remove it to take the rear cat out through the top. Or can it be done from below once the J-Pipe is off? Any input is greatly appreciated!

Check out the 3G TL side. Many have taken it out. It's a complete pain in the ass, but I think it can go out the bottom.

you'll need to take off the front strut brace to get your hands on the rear cat's bolts.
but it indeed goes out the bottom. there is NO space to bring that giant cat up top.

it's best to have a buddy. one person ontop and the other on the ground, directing the cat.

Honda's love 10mm bolts. most likely the strut bar connected to the firewall is held on by 10mm bolts...if not, go up in size...11, 12...

got it!

Well I did finish my install. Was able to pull the rear cat through the top after removing a few things. Love the RV6 products so far! I think I need to go full custom exhaust next. If anyone else ever needs to remove the strut brace, you must remove the cowl and windshield wipers to access the bolts I was referring to in the first post. Wasn't too bad.

neat!!
I bet if one took apart the 3G TL's cowl and windshield wipers, one could get the cat out the top too!!
thanks for sharing
