chrome a-spec question
since a few members have their chrome look a-specs up for sale i was thinking about picking them up, i am curious though if they are any harder to powdercoat than the gunmetal ones because I am not a fan of the chrome, but anyone with any knowledge please let me know so i could pick them up

I just had my gunmetal/ebony a-specs repainted. It took some research to figure out the paint for the a-specs. In the process I learned a bunch of things including: if you're going to repaint / powdercoat rims that have chrome plating - the plating needs to be removed.
It should be noted that not all powder coating places have the correct type of oven. Failure to bake the metal correctly can lead to fatigue and eventual failure.
(I can't recall what the ideal baking process for alloy wheels is - goog it)

I prefer the black/ebony ones though.....
