3/32 difference in tread - Too Much?

I just put my snows on but two of the tires are 5/32 and two are 8/32 Is this too much of a difference on the AWD system? Discount said it should be fine, but I wanted to make sure.

The difference in diameter will be 6/32" (3/32" for each side). The diameter of the tire is 26.64". So you are looking at (6/32)/26.64 = 0.703% difference in diameter. You'll be fine. Just make sure the 8/32 tires are adjacent.

3/32" is close enough. Really you should be fine with up to 4/32 difference from your best tire to your worst. Like said above, just make sure you match up the tread depths on each axle. Which DTC do you go to BTW?

Not sure what you mean - dtc?

Has anyone bought the TPMS valves for a second set of rims/tires? Or know how to turn the warning system off so it doesn't "warn" me all winter?

I think he meant Discount Tire. I'm pretty sure you cannot turn off the warning. You can buy the tpms from Oemacuraparts.com.

I meant Discount Tire. They also have the sensors that you need.
