I have an opportunity to pick up a set of 08 MDX Sport wheels. Specs say that it should work...anyone tried this setup on an RL yet? Any pics out there?

Sounds great, but some questions

What is the offset?

Will the RL's big brake calipers clear?

We know that RonJon's first run of Legend wheels came in with the wrong offset, and a 3 mm spacer had to be offered for RL applications only. Apparently future runs had the offset corrected.

How much do they weigh? Are they significantly more heavy than 27 lbs of ASpecs?

The weight may not be that much of an issue, but the caliper clearance would be a deal killer. Would you be able to test fit or return?

from what I heard, they won't clear the calipers.

I just got a message back from Curry Acura

"The 07-08 MDX 19” wheels are about 4-5 lbs heavier than the RL 18” A-Spec wheels and are not recommended to be used on the RL."

I believe he's referring to the 18s on the MDX with the Sport package--not the accessory 19s. Refer to the picture below.

Good point, I missed that.

I guess the we would all like to know, do the MDX wheels, either 18 or 19 fit the RL, or are there caliper clearance problems as rondog notes?

As an aside, the 18's in the picture do not look all that different from the stock wheels, but...they are 18's! A lot more tire choices!
