Matt just offered up his Matte Grafite CV3's in the +35 +42 offsets... if you want them... He's digging the new CVT's in Gloss Grafite...

So I got the ProClipUsa phone holder in. It's exactly the holder I wanted, although it sticks out a little further than I want. However, it was $70 and really think it cost about $10 to make, but whatever. Like I said, it was the exact holder I wanted.

I ordered the 09+ swaybar and bushings as well. I'll post comparison pics of the stock 05-08 one compared to the 09+ when I get it swapped out.

Nathan does this sway bar make things a little tighter on the RL? are you doing this install yourself and where do these bars go?

It's a thicker bar than the 05-08 so yes it helps. Others on here have verified it helps. There are threads about it on here if you search "sway"

This one goes on the rear. The front you have to drop way too much stuff for it to be worth it.

I grew up at my fathers mechanic shop and have access to it along with lifts/tools/etc.

IIRC, there is a big misconception here about what it takes to install the front. I say that because someone came in claiming they had done the front with little more effort than the back, and everyone here was saying you have to remove the engine. Were they full of shit?

Along the lines of CV3, but supposedly these are Stance(?).

I'll know for sure next week. I'll put it on the lift and check it out. I'll also check AllData and see what it says as far as time allowed and directions to do the front.

My headlights just showed up. Best thing is all the connections are still there, they cut the wiring harness and sent them. So the side marker connector isn't an issue. I also have the ballast and HID bulb on each side...

while they are out might as well convert the shields so that they are for LHD otherwise you could risk blinding other drivers with the incorrect beam pattern

Car is back from paint. I had all 4 new chrome strips replaced on the front/rear bumper, as well as the lower chrome on the front grill, replaced the driver fog light, fixed the rock chips in the front bumper, fixed a couple dings on the drivers side and fix the dings in the rear bumper. They also sanded and cleared my headlights, even though I'm throwing my JDM headlights on this week. I figured while they're sanding/clearing stuff, might as well do them

I also had them paint the grill. We left a tiny strip of silver on each side and color matched the rest of the grill.

Onto the pics of the grill. No need for the rest of the car, you couldn't really see in the pics all the things that were wrong/fixed...

ASpec will be here Wednesday or Thursday of next week. I'll wait to put the JDM headlights in until then so I only have to remove the bumper once.

Great progress on the RL! I miss my RL at times. Such a well built vehicle. Are you the same NathanJax from the tahoeyukon forum? if so, your threads over there are truly an inspiration.

Hopefully my front lip will be here Monday or Tuesday so I can throw it on with the headlights...

I decided on some rims. Might change them up later, but I was tired of rolling stocks for now.

Rohana RC10 20x9 +35 and 20x10 +40

Nitto 555 235/35/20 and 275/30/20

Crappy iPhone pics. Once I get my headlights and lip on this week I'll get some good pics. I also have the paint in my garage to do my calipers. I'm doing silver with black letters and bolts

Front lip finally came in. My first lip actually came in last Wednesday, but the box was busted and the lip was cracked in two pieces. They re-ordered a new lip and it cam in today. I'll have the headlights and the lip installed by Wednesday night...

Well, I finally got the rear sway bar swapped out. I can tell a little bit of a difference. I think it's probably worth the $60 and 15 minutes I spent swapping it out. Gotta remove the rear tires and it unbolts, slides out either side with pulling down on the exhaust to get the bar out. I put it on a lift to do it.

05-08 bar 17.3mm
09-12 bar 19.3mm

Here's a pic of the 05-08 on top and 09-12 on the bottom

Got the front lip installed today. Crazy that you have to drill holes and cut out the fog lights. Talking about a scarey 30 minutes...

I went to install the JDM headlights but I stopped and concentrated on the bumper. I'm leaving on vacation for a week (driving my car) and I had to make sure I had a bumper to drive with. I'll have to do some research with installing them as well but I'll get in to that later.

Looking good man! Honestly, once you have the bumper off, the headlights are easy to remove. 4 bolts hold it down

yeah I had the drivers headlight out, but when looking to swap out the housing, I noticed the turn signal bulbs and plug was different. The OEM one won't fit into the JDM one without some trimming (I think that's the only difference and I had already seen something about that) and I didn't want to spend any time messing with it when I still had to trim and mount my bumper. I have to drive my car tomorrow so I would rather get 1 thing done than try and hurry to get 2 things done and possibly mess something up.

I'm trying to search now and see if anyone has a "how to" on the JDM headlights for an easy swap.
