I've enjoy watching the progress of RL build come together. As you know aftermarket parts for the RL is hard to come by and even harder in the USA. I've been trying to get my hands on the Largus coilover and only found a few in Japan - Largus.retail.jp doesn't ship to the USA and Nengun.com with has good prices until you put in shipping! Plus I've sent emails and haven't got a response yet😞! Can you help suggest a site that does ship to the USA and has reasonable prices! Thanks in advance. I know a lot of others RL enthusiast will enjoy this information!

Second, I got around to mounting the rear fender deflectors from a W204 Mercedes Benz AMG C63.... just the finishing touch to make the fenders complete. This addition will work on ALL KB1 with or without flares.

One-off muffler modification....

This is a interim mod and also a experiment. What we have here is a Two Brothers Racing mufflers that have aluminum sleeves with magnesium end caps with T-301 inlet pipes and are a straight through design. Originally made for a Z1000 Kawasaki, a quality made item, worthy of this experiment.

Here we have a 2.5 inch graft that is MIG welded into place.

I'm thoroughly confused my this car. Are you living in Japan? Is that car in the US/Canada? What year is it? Why is there an acura badge on the front of your car? Did you install the honda steering wheel, or did you remove it for an acura wheel?

The car is in Japan, he is from Japan. Any Acura parts would have been swapped on.

Thanks for the positive comments, The car is a complete Mugen Aero Kit which includes the rear wing. Unfortunately, this kit has long been discontinued...
The headlights are OEM JDM with clear corners.

I have the original ECU as supplied in the JDM KB1-120xxxx series final year revision. I have also owned a 2004 KB1-100xxxx side by side which was a first year model as well. My amazement was that the two were totally and completely different cars in the way the ECU and transmission operated. This may hold valid for Japan models only. My 2007 120-series is the 5-speed close ratio gear set supplied in the USDM, 5-speed KB2. No weird torque converter hunting like some US model owners complain of.... though my 2004 100-series exhibited this strange phenomena. Also the 120-series allows for on-command paddle shift usage, similar to the KB2. For this and the other revisions too numerous to mention, I sold the 100-series car and never looked back! If I ever retire this car, I would only replace it with a identical 120-series or opt up to the KB2, BUT, there was no OEM or Mugen aero work offered so..... My love remains for this final edition KB1.

I have owned three UA5 models in the past, all which are related to the Acura CL as for drive train and owes its very existence to the UA5, the 99-03 Acura TL.

All these cars including the CL are built in Marysville Ohio. I know these cars well and as for a stand only ECU, is this really necessary??

Amazingly enough, the CL coupe and the 6 speed transmission never made it to Japan as a official release, and is considered a very prestigious true left hand drive Acura USDM, though in my circle of friends there are a half dozen private imported examples..... Numerous automatic transmission failures litter the JDM Minkara forums as well for the UA5 Saber and Inspire. Hondata tool would be the obvious move to alter parameters but here in Japan, same brick wall.....

I cut the mufflers 1 inch away from the body and welded the 2.5 inch joint pipes onto the stock tail pipe after it was cut. As long as the joint pipe is stainless steel, it was a easy weld that was not rocket science...

Moving videos will be soon. Thanks for the positive comments also!

exhaust kb2

Hi.. sorry to bark in like this but the kb2 in the youtube is mine.. i did the whole exhaust and this video is from the first setup.. basicaly i got 5 mufflers.. i started with the 2 rear and it was brutal.. people looked on the streets for other cars ..total sleeper.. when they hear the exhaust and they see this car they look away and look for something else. Hahah
It sounds way better than other v6 .. true honda..sound.. but it was too much and too lout on low revs.. where u drive most of the time.. but above 3k its porn... but its my family car and i had to lower it.. than i installed a mid 3'" mid muffler.. the drone was away but still too loutdish and i put 2 x 2.25" midmufflers magnaflows too.. soundes really good.. but still loud sound between 2000-2600rpm and this is on highway and most of town use.. than i put the oem 45mm x2 midpipes and it was right-. Car is quiet and roars on full throtle.. so final setup is 2x 45mm oem midpipes than 2x 60mm(2.25") midpipes and 2x 60mm magnaflow mufflers..
Perfect setup.. i was always wondering how it would sound if i put 1 cat or 2 cats or all 3 back and lower the midmuflers.. but have no time to.expiriment..

What bugs me most on my car is that the car falls bellow vtec from a 2-3rd gearshift and would love to.have a 6sp tranny in the car..
If anybody wants a soundclip from setup now. I can.make one and.post it

I bought new shoes for the car......

This saga requires a little introduction.
So, it goes.... if you are a wheel whore, like I am, than you have a disease that is incurable, and it manifest its self usually in the form of a repeat offence for a particular wheel brand or style......

Here are two recent past cars that have this brand that I like.

This is a W209 CLK with 18 inch RX.....

This is a Lancer GT-A 7.5 with 17 inch RG-R forged in the DBK hue, with red center caps as a requirement.... by the way, this car was featured in Japan Hyperrev Magazine Lancer edition and became quite famous!

The following cars I still own and drive....

This is a rare JDM DA Integra XSi with the B16A and with 17 inch RG-R forged also in DBK and red extras....

This is my Cosworth powered W201 190e 2.3-16v that has the 17 inch RX and red extras.... do you recognize a sick pattern repeating here????

This is my rarest car of them all... a Ford of Europe Escort RS Cosworth, a homologation special that is currently having a set of one off 17x9 LM wheels made and fitted... the center disk will be painted the body color... a work in progress....

Now for what this post is about, my KB1 has got new shoes!

This set is a multi-piece forged BBS RS-GT model that is 19 x 9.5 and has the ET25 set..... Red extras make this complete and now I can retire the TSW Stowe wheels.... thanks for looking.

This set is a multi-piece forged BBS RS-GT model that is 19 x 9.5 and has the ET25 set..... Red extras make this complete and now I can retire the TSW Stowe wheels.... thanks for looking.

This is what the maker claims on this product.

The Intelligent Infometer Touch is the latest from Greddy's line of information display products.

The latest release features the highest quality 3.5" TFT screen from any of the meters, combined with flexible layout, installation and connection.

3.5" 65,546 Color TFT Screen capable of displaying up to 6 signals at once
Completely touch screen, configured by simply touching the screen
Can be installed in 3 different layouts
Connects to ISO14230 connector
Connects to old Nissan CONSULT with additional harness
Connects to the latest CAN connector
Can display from 53 signals, see the Greddy website for more details
15min signal record playback with warning and peak hold
Displays in Metric or SEA options
Displays in English or Japanese

This unit fits well in the slot above the ashtray and is held in place by hook and loop strips.

It looks trick at night as well....

Just to stray on the dark side of overkill, I tossed in this trick rear view mirror that has a built in flash memory of all know speed cameras and speed traps and uses GPS technology to alert as well as to display velocity.

Just wondering if anyone knew the part number for the shift knob in this picture? I have a USDM 2005 KB1 and was looking to replace my shift knob and the trim around it with one like yours.

Mine looks like this except for a different color interior but the same wood shifter.

The JDM KB1 does not have a brake pedal release function on the shifter but rather a push button release.... the surround may be interchangeable.... send me a size as accuratly to determine., Yes those are available through Honda Japan...Pm me.
