XM Radio and Traffic out until reboot
I don't see this posted before. I have had two incidents of not having the XM radio (sees the stations, but no sound), the traffic flow indicators, or the traffic zoom bar. During these times, the radio, CD, and everything else worked fine. I have to restart the car to get the XM radio and traffic indicators work again. These two incidents were preceded by the XM radio sound cutting in and out in a regular rapid interval. (every second?)

Sounds like the XM rcvr is bad. Dealer can fix it - I had a similar problem with my FX35 - there was actually a TSB out on the FX35 for that problem and they replaced the rcvr and everything eventually worked again... sure, just a few weeks before it was bought back under the lemon law
Good luck having it fixed! Let us know how it turns out... or you could, perhaps, try resetting it - disconnect the battery (remember, radio and navi code may be required after the system reset)

Thanks vp911. You mean that they brought back the car because of the XM rcvr? I actually have no confidence in having this resolved due to all the problems people report having with the XM in the RL, so I will just wait a little before bring it to the dealer.

No, they bought back the car because of a leaky sunroof, headlight/taillights not working, amongst other problems.
The dealer shouldn't really have a problem fixing this issue. The other issue with XM was the delay - what other XM issues have there been?

Other problems I personal have had are inaccurate traffic flow indicators and lost of pre-set stations. What I meant was that these issues were not all clear if hardware related at the RL level or broadcast related from XM, and given my early impression that Acura dealer was lacking knowledge with the RL, I wasn't confident that the dealer was able to know what was wrong with this case.

Have you tried a different dealer? Some of the things you are describing vaugly remind me of problems with the early build RLs, maybe not - but I thought there were TSBs for the memory resets and such. maybe not though.

No, I have not tried a different dealer. My thought is that these problems are relatively minor, so I am not willing to risk having the tech take apart anything if I could avoid it.

I would take it to another dealer and ask them to figure out whats wrong - but not to take anything apart. At least then you canf ind out whats wrong and then decide if you want to replace the unit.

I am concerned that I would be told that I have to leave the car with the dealer and it has to be taken apart for them to find out what is wrong. My plan is to wait until a few months before the warranty period is up and then have all the updates/TSB's done.
