Who knows how to install AUX link?
I am installing a USA Spec iPod adaptor into my 06 RL. Does anyone have instructions or know how to get to the plug behind the radio so I can hookup my adaptor? Thanks for you help!

Never mind, I went to a local stereo shop and they installed it for $30.
I did however find out how to install an AUX adaptor. You remove the two silver pillars on either side of the radio and this reveals the screws to remove the radio. Takes about 10 minutes.

The adapter is perfect, I had one in my CL. The USA Spec is much better than the Blitzsafe. I had the BS first and it broke. The USA Spec I had in my CL never had any issues and this one works exactly the same. The USA Spec does have a set of RCA's for another AUX source.

I am considering installing it myself. Did you see how they removed the silver trim pillars? Do they just pry off or did they have to remove some console parts to get to it?

Skiunow,
Thanks. I also pried off the center console trim piece to make more room to work out the lower part of the trim pieces. That did expose the 4 front attachment bolts for the radio/control panel. But there are two more bolts at the lower rear of the radio. Removed the "not an ashtray" and can get a socket on them enough to loosen them, but have not worked up the courage yet to remove them. If I drop them they will be hopelessy lost. I am now looking for a small grabber tool to finish the job.
Where did they place the actual adapter? I would like to place mine where I can reach the dip switches without full removal, in case I need to change from playlist mode to direct mode.

I wedged the unit just to the right of the throttle pedal, that way I could get to it easily to hook up the set of RCA's coming from my audio/video unit.

Skiunow, did you use a tool to pry off the trim piece? I noticed that it was very tight and almost impossible to pry off by hand. I was thinking of using a putty knife or screw driver for leverage.
