Voice commands tied to Navi Disc version or programmed into car?

Are the available voice commands tied to the Navi disc version (and updated when the new Navi DVD is inserted for the 1st time and the system is updated) or are the commands programmed into the car independent of the Navi DVD? What I'm getting at is will upgrading the Navi DVD to 4.55 give me the same voice commands that are available in the 2006 RL's? The 2005 RL cannot bring up the audio display on the Nav screen via voice command, only by pressing the audio button next to the interface dial. If anyone with a 2005 RL has upgraded to 4.55 and noticed increased voice command functionality (or any changes beyond map coverage) please share the info. Thanks.

I'll answer my own question here. I upgraded to the 4.55A Nav DVD and the voice commands are unchanged. The Nav speed is much improved and there are some Nav Traffic related enhnancements - overall I'm pretty happy with it.

They are probably only enhancements for those with 2005 RL's like me who had the original Nav disc. Traffic bands are green, yellow, and red, instead of blue, yellow, and red. The option to list traffic incidents is there when you press the select knob in while the map is onscreen ( previously it was only accessible by the voice command "List traffic incidents"). The Nav voice guidance prompts seem to warn of approaching exits at a greater distance (max setting used to be 1/2 mile, I have it set to normal and it warns at 1 mile now). The routing and rerouting calculations are much faster now. The disc is pricey but worth it to me.

You can go to acuranavi.com to see all the updates included in the various versions of the Nav disc by model.

Plus my street is now included in the database.
