I installed the USA SPEC PA15 HON2 Ipod adaptor about a year ago and while it works well, I've had to replace the cable (the one that connects directly to the ipod) twice. Each week I load new podcasts, and so remove the iPod from the cable, download the podcasts, and then reconnect the cable to the Ipod. I think this weekly removal and reconnection weakens the cable connection, necessitating its replacement periodically.

Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a solution? The cable is around $30 and I'd prefer not to have to keep replacing it.

How are you removing it? Do you pull on the cable, or grab the connector as close to the iPod as possible?

I plug in and remove my phone multiple times a day and have no issues.

I'm careful how I remove it, especially after having to replace the cable the 1st time.

Yea USA Spec sucks. That's the answer.
