Hello, My dad just picked up a 2006 RL and we noticed the screen is a little fuzzy. It seems the resolution is a little off, or the sharpness. Is there anyway to make the navi screen sharper?

 

The screen should not be fuzzy and there is no focus control. Try going to a dealer and check another RL for comparison. The latest MDX, ZDX and TL have a VGA of greater resolution so do not compare to those but all of the RL's use the same resolution and should all look the same to the naked eye.

 

Although the screen resolution may not be as crisp as newer offerings, there are some controls for Contrast, Brightness and Contrast. These are accessed via the SETUP button on the center stack and then follow the Screen Menus.

I have also found by switching colors on the day and night versions of the screens has helped produce a richer view.

But if there is a true defect with your screen, then only the dealer can diagnose.

 

If memory serves me, you can hold down MAP, CANCEL and MENU. A diagnostic screen appears and there's a MONITOR option. I think there are some advanced adjustments for the screen.

I would NOT change any of the other settings!
