Can anyone tell me if I should hear two beeps when using the key fob to unlock the doors of my 2005, (pressing unlock twice within five seconds). I get a single beep when locking under the same conditions, but the dealer is unsure about unlocking. The manual does'nt mention the beeps either (unlocking).

 

Two beeps is when it unlocks based on proximity (no button press). Using the remote may make that noise when unlock is held (when it also opens the sunroof and all windows), but I'm not sure.

 

I get 1 beep when locking my car (press key FOB 2x). No beeps at all when unlocking.

I have an 06 RL

 

I only use door handle
1 beep lock
2 beeps unlock

 

Thanks for the responses. I appologize for the lame "title", I guess you can tell I'm new. Maybe I was wrong. I told the dealer that the unlock beep stopped working when using the key fob button. I guess I got confused after dealing with several other keyless entry problems. I really appreciate your input.
