Paired my NEXTEL i870 with the RL - so far so good!
It was a bit easier than I imagined.
However I noticed two things.
1) I could not "connect" with the Acura Server. I am not sure what this does, but I have tried a few times, and it never makes it. There is no choice on the menu for NEXTEL, so I used SPRINT, which bought NEXTEL. That might be my problem.
2) The display under the speedometer only shows the antenna. No signal strength or battery life. I assume that's a function of the phone. (?)
3) The voice recognition is odd. Everytime I say 2 2 8, it displays 2 8 0!! Very odd. A few times it enters a strange area code that I do not even say.
4) When it works, it's awesome. Folks on the other end say that it sounds so clear it's unreal.
Now I have to figure out how to use the phonebook. First I have to find the damn thing, I could not see it in the NAVI menus.

1. Yes, there are special settings even though nextel is owned by sprint. Not sure if anybody has set this up with nextel yet.
2. Yes, that is a function of the phone - not the car.
3. That is a problem a lot of people face - easiest way is to say one digit at a time to get around that problem.
4.
The phone book you push the HFL talk button and say "phonebook" then it will list your options - such as "add" so you can add a new contact.

Thanks for the info, vp911! It's another great feature that just adds to the pile.
