Navi Problems

I was running 4.63 with no issues. Lateley however, I've been getting disk read errors ("see your dealer") so I figured I'd go back to the 4.31 that came with the car. The software seemed to load OK. After loading, I'd get the Acura splash screen then a couple of seconds later, it would go to the "in line diag" screen with no way out.

Tried going back to 4.63 then back to 4.31. Same thing each time.

Any help would be appreciated.

Never mind...fixed it (I think).

Got rid of the "In Line Diag" as follows:

* Hold down the buttons (Menu+Map/Guide+Cancel for about 5 seconds (the "Select Diagnosis items" screen will appear).
* Hold down the Map/Guide button for 5-10 seconds (A screen with a "Complete" button, will appear).
* Touch "Complete", and then the "Return" button (the system may re-boot).
* Restart the vehicle and confirm normal operation.

4.31 worked fine after that. I reinstalled 4.63 and it's (hopefully) fine now.

I'm starting to get disc read errors on my 05 RL. I reboots a couple of times before working and navi seems to be slow almost as if it's trying to read from the disc. I need to confirm what version I'm running but I haven't changed the disc in a long time. Is there any reason why an older version would cause read problems or could the DVD drive be going bad.
