Angry NAV Freezes when moving around screen

Don't know if this is XM Nav Traffic or what, but my Nav freezes when I am moving around the NAV screen.

The only way clear it is to turn off the car. This is really friggin annoying.

I am going to take it into the dealer, ASAP. Has anybody seen this?

Way to repeat it (if you want to):

- Set the map scale to the middle of the traffic scale (~ 2mile).
- Move around with the joystick, within the NAV screen.
- The NAV should freeze. This always happens when there is NAV traffic icons.

Any help would be nice.

I had it happen once - have yet to repeat. I also had to turn off the car to get it to reset. Surprisingly, there is no reboot/reset in the diagnostics screen.

Yep, it happens to me more often than I care to admit. Usually, it happens when I'm on a road trip and have programed in a navigation destination. After a few hours, I'll scroll around to a distant location on the screen, and lo and behold, FREEZE!

The only thing that gets it unfrozen is a total restart of the engine.

Since I don't take many roadtrips, I haven't felt the need to mention it to the dealer yet. We'll see.

Glad I'm not the only one dealing with this issue.

Hmm, it's never happened to me and I've used that feature several times to see something far away while driving. Do all of your cars have all of the current software tsb's performed?

Yes. Had my A1 service completed last month. Dealer mentioned 3 TSB's were listed as "incomplete", so they were performed. Cured XM refresh, transmission tweaks, and a nav traffic issue. I'll probably mention the freeze at the next service.

I also had the 3 TSB's done. I am going to take to the dealer and get the rest of the TSB's done. I don't think I got the speaker, brakes, etc..

Very strange that the NAV doesn't have a reboot button or at least a combo button to reset.
