All of a sudden all my nav settings seem to have wiped themselves clean. I can still use the fob to open the door via handle with keys in my pocket or using the unlock button. The car starts with no problem but the address book is blank and icon greyed out on the nav menu, annoying guidance prompts and default colors are back. The dashboard says welcome but never driver1. I tried my wife's keys and the car remembers it as driver2, nav settings and address book are all there. About 6 months ago i replaced the batteries on both key fobs and I can obviously use it to open the car door, trunk and so on. Stumped here, thoughts? Thx.

Turns out that the remote got unlinked when I had it in my back pocket. I am assuming that somehow my butt pressed both the lock and unlock buttons simultaneously which is probably the same procedure to unlink as it is to link. Found the solution to linking on the forum. Note that you don't need to have the car running to link. I tried it a couple of times and it eventually recognized driver1.
