Question Looking for XM/NavTraffic deal

In the next three month my initial "trial" period will expire. I definitely want to continue both XM and NavTraffic (not really very useful, I just like it), but the standard price of $16.94 a month seems outrageous to me.

Does anybody know any deals or coupons or something to reduce this price?

Thanks!
Konstantin

P.S. I'm not even thinking about paying for OnStar - also not useful, but not fun either.

Search the TL forum. I believe “winback” promo might still be accepted.

What about NavTraffic?

Well I see people are getting XM radio for a year for $77, but what about XM NavTraffic? I understand that people in TL forum don't care, because they don't have this feature in TL, but what about us - RL owners?

I have the $77/year promo deal. I also added NavTraffic for $3.99/month. I just called today and cancelled the NavTraffic after 1 month. I am in Northern NJ and travel to Central NJ everyday. I sit in 1 to 1.5 hour of traffic everyday. There is never any real information displayed. A complete waste of money in my mind.

I wonder how exactly you got it. Have you called twice or got both in one call?

Was your current subscription over by the time you called?

Thank you!

I disagree about the Onstar. It's like having a little electronic buddy there at all times. I also keep a few of the minutes available in case I ever leave my cell phone at home. I don't think people realize how handy Onstar can be, and I am not talking about during emergencies. My aunt died this past week, and I was a pallbearer at her funeral in another city. The only problem is that I couldn't remember the name of the funeral home. With one call to Onstar, the rep told me every funeral home in that city and this enabled me to enter the info into my navigation system all while I was driving making me on time for my important family responsibility.

I used one of the promo codes I found on TL forum. Got them both in one call. Not sure if the promo code is still good.
