I-001: iPhone mount and DICE i-HONDA-R/4

Well, I took advantage of the very warm day we had yesterday and spent the afternoon in the garage installing the iPhone interface to the stock radio and a ProClip mount. I purchased my '05 RL (Nighthawk Black Pearl/Parchment) just last weekend. I had the DICE unit already as it came from my old car, an '04 Accord, so all I needed to purchase was the ProClip mount for the RL. I originally intended to take more pictures but I dropped a socket down in the guts of the console and I forgot to take them. As others have stated here the hardest part of the work is the 2 bolts at the bottom of the radio unit. Everything else is easy if you take your time and be careful.
This first picture shows the console after the removal of the trim around the shifter, the vertical pieces on either side of the radio, and the cup that is not an ashtray:

The second picture shows the console after additionally removing the "not an ashtray" unit.
And here is the finished product:

Now with video!

I made a couple of short videos near the end of the project. Hope you like. The audio is a little messed up at times because of the cell phone.

Very nice setup, do you know if that mount is compatible with the Seidio innocase II case?
Otherwise I would have to try to figure out a way to mount the Innotraveler.

I don't think so. The ProClip holder is very heavy plastic with a soft fuzz covering that holds the iPhone with grooves in each side. Any case is probably going to have to be removed before placing in the holder.

Nice videos Phil. Ahhh... the memories of having the center console/radio in pieces.

Both the bracket and the iPhone holder were purchased from www.proclipusa.com. Good quality to their products.

They now make that mount for the iPhone in a version that adjusts the width so you can use it with a case. I've bought several ProClips for my cars over the years, and it's a great company with great products.

The pictures say they are currently unavailable. Does anyone have an updated link?

Considering the age of the post I am surprised the videos still work.

Someone here may have pics.
