This just started a few months ago on my 2005 rl. Phone had been paired 5 months. Then one day it was not. I cleared system, unhooked battery, called hfl Acura service, tried another 2006 rl it paired. So it is not the phone. No phone will pair it drops the pairing process at (what name call this phone).. anyone fix this problem? Do not want to spend 800.00 for a module. Any help... tried everything

My friend's 05 RL has been doing this since he picked it up 2 years ago, same symptoms, the phones that fail to pair in his car at the "name phone" prompt all pair perfectly with my 06RL. Dealer warned him it wasn't working when he bought the car and that the BT module would probably need to be replaced.

Have you fixed the problem? I have the same issue with my car recently at the name phone prompt it fails. Any help??

I'm pretty sure we debugged this in another thread.

must replace unit. or do what i did buy a bluetooth handsfree unit. yes i hate it but that is cheaper than $800.00
