Gremlins in Alarm system

Hi everyone, I have a 2006 RL and the alarm went off today while the car was being driven by my wife. Here's the chain of events and of course now I can't duplicate the problem.

We both left the house in the RL to pick up her Ford at the mechanic. We both had the keyfobs for the Acura, it was on her keyfob setting (driver 2).
After parting with $676 to get the Ford fixed (acura still running with her only in the car with her keyfob), she proceeded to drive the Acura. As she drives off, the alarm goes off immediately. Of course she doesn't know that it's her car that's blaring while I am trying to catch up to her to tell her to pull over. In about 2 min the alarm shuts off.

In about 10 min, we make it home, she puts the car in park and it goes off again before she shuts off the car. I pressed the panic button my keyfob to shut off the alarm, the alarm shuts off.

I have tried to dup but of course now I can't because the gremlins only show when you are not expecting them, right?

Coincidentally, this is my second car that has done this; I had an Audi A4 that did the same thing to me once. Why me? Of course I called the dealer and they have never heard of it.

My driver side handle is funky (i.e. occasionally it doesn't lock when I press the dimple, especially when wet), well reported on this website. Today it's a dry day and all locks are working.

Thoughts?

I sat on the panic button (figuratively of course) while the car was running to duplicate the problem, no go. I would think that's the case because panic button doesn't/shouldn't work while the car is running. True?
