I just purchased a new '06 RL and have been unable to get the Datalink service to connect using my Cingular HTC 8125 PDA/Phone. According to Handsfreelink.com (web and support #) the phone works with the Datalink data service. My dealer has never done this; as they have said, "we just got the process down to pair the BT phones for Handsfree voice". Didn't even realize it did Data up."

Has anyone been succesful at getting this phone to work?

I have not looked up the 8125 on the HFL site, and I don't doubt you saw it listed as compatible, but if it is it would be the first WM phone that was. I have had 3-4 WM phones, including the 8125 now, and none were compatible for data. They are all listed as able to pair but not for data. If you find out otherwise, please post. Thanks.

I am guessing they "x'd" the wrong spot. They have an "x" under "call waiting" and a check under "data". I believe www.handsfreelink.com has these backwards.

I will post if I learn of any update.

I also have the 8125 and have tried pretty much every option in the menus to connect without success. If you are able to get it to work let us know. I am wondering if you need to activate the modem link to get it to work. I did not see a bluetooth option under the modem link though. It is interesting that on the 8125 it shows dialup networking as an available service.

Let us know if you are able to get this to work. I have given up.
