I was bored last night, so I pulled out my navi DVD, fired up Toast and made an image of the DVD on my Mac G5. It is a dual layer disc, about 7.5 GB. I just bought a dual layer burner, so I plan to test it out on the image-I will post my results. Just so you don't think I am going into business producing bootleg navi DVDs, my motivation is that it would be really nice to have a backup copy in case my $185 disc was damaged in some way. Also, I want to do it just to see if I can do it (it's an engineer thing...)

I finally got around to ordering a spindle of DL DVD-R disks; I'll let you know if I am successful in cloning the navi DVD.
