audio code reset

audio code reset
Hello: I searched for info and couldn't find anything in the last couple of years. I have a 2007 Acura RL. (I know this isn't exactly the right forum, but you guys have helped me in the past) Had to disconnect the battery while doing some recent work. Now the audio code won't reset. Used the "push the 1 and 6 preset" routine to get the s/n. It is 4004 4476. Called the dealer and he gives me the codes: 63414 and 62652.
Neither works. It gives the "invalid pin code" when entering the 4th digit. Don't know what to do next. Can't find the original card...my bad.
Any ideas?

Have you checked the inside cover of your manual sleeve? Delivery inspection sheet? In the manual compartment at the top of the glove box? Under the under-hood fuse box cover?
If you can't find the right code, and the ones the dealer gives you are wrong, then I don't know how we can help. FWIW, the radio code is 5 digits and the Nav code is 4 digits.
You could possibly try disconnecting your battery again to try to give it a good reset.

Hi Ho: Thought I would give you the solution to the "Set Code" problem. The LCD screen shows "Set Code" and gives you a selector that lets you do that. Apparently this is not the audio code needed to get the audio system running. Even though this screen pops up and invites you to "Set Code" after the battery is disconnected it doesn't apply to the audio code. (Maybe some privacy code that we don't use)
The code is set through the menu, and everything works fine now. It just took me a couple of days to discover this, so I thought I would let you know.

That's probably the PIN for personal information protection. If you store phone numbers and addresses like "Home", these cannot be accessed without the PIN.
